Throttle Valve Assembly (Aftermarket) for Range Rover Evoque Diesel 2.2L This is a motorised throttle valve body for the Range Rover Evoque Diesel. This is a motorised “butterfly” valve that is driven by a motor that drives some gears to close and open the “flap”. The problem is that the gears are plastic and they wear out leading to a strange squealing noise that is most noticeable immediately after your turn off the engine – see below video. It is actually quite easy to change this item as its located at the front of the engine – see below video ( video shows the Freelander 2 but its the same engine in the Evoque). This is a good quality aftermarket part that can be used as an alternative to Land Rover part number LR012598. This part from Land Rover retails for around 260. This is not a genuine Land Rover item.
