EARLY Type Tailgate Switch for Land Rover Freelander 2 2007-12

Tailgate Release Switch for Land Rover Freelander 2 (Early Type 2007 -12) This listing is for a Tailgate Release handle switch for the Land Rover Freelander 2. Note: There are 2 variants of this part – please check which you have before ordering. This listing is for the early type which fits vehicles from 2007 until the 2012 facelift (when the Freelander received some upgrade including LED ‘signature strip’ headlights). If you have a reverse camera then you will need the late type loom – see our other listing to purchase. These switches often fail due to water ingress and the switch becomes unreliable. Note: The first version of this loom did not have bulb holders and bulbs attached and it was superseded by this one to include holders and bulbs – so do not worry if your loom looks different. If you are stuck unable to get into your boot there is a little trick to open the tailgate – press the lock and unlock buttons on the dash at the same time and this will open the tailgate. The handle fits in the centre of the tailgate underneath the two number plate lights. The Land Rover part number for this item is LR079909. This is a Genuine Land Rover item.
