We sell an early and late version loom for the Freelander 2 – please ensure you buy the correct loom for your vehicle year: EARLY LOOM = Vehicles from 2007-12 – this is the item for sale here LATE LOOM = Vehicles from 2012 onwards with the facelifted interior and headlights – see our other listing to purchase this This loom has been designed to plug into the existing wiring above the overhead console to give you a power feed which you can use to install a dashcam etc. This is a plug and play solution – so no alterations are required to your vehicles wiring. The power is live when the car is ‘awake’ – so it is live when you unlock your car and remains active for approximately 30 minutes after you lock your car – until your vehicle shuts down into ‘sleep mode’. We will also supply you with a ‘chisler’ trim tool to aid removing your overhead console. We recommend that you connect the intended power supply to this loom before installing in the car to reduce the risk of blowing a fuse with the exposed connections.
