Simple M6 Rivnut tool for fitting Land Rover Defender L663 Snorkel

Simple Rivet Nut Tool M6 for fitting Land Rover Defender L663 Snorkel If you want to fit a snorkel/raised air intake to your Land Rover Defender L663 then you need a rivet nut tool to complete the job. This is not a common tool and it is not supplied with the snorkel. This tool will allow you to fit an M6 captive nuts into the top of the A-pillar which the bracket will screw into. You insert the tool and rivnut into the hole in your A-pillar and then turn the end nut which ‘pulls’ on the rivnut to compress it and tighten onto the body – leaving you with a captive nut. Point to note: At the time of writing Land Rover are supplying plastic brackets with the snorkel kits which our customers have reported can break – we sell a metal bracket which you may want to consider fitting instead – see part number BRK435. You’ll need a 14mm and an 18mm spanner to operate this tool. Note that there are no rivet nuts included with this tool. These are not genuine Land Rover parts. See below video.
