Upgraded Tailgate Gas Struts – PAIR for Land Rover Discovery 3&4 This listing is for a pair of top quality OEM gas struts for the upper tailgate on the Land Rover Discovery 3 & 4. Gas struts are notorious for losing their mojo which can lead to the tailgate not staying up or becoming hard to open. Changing your struts is one of those jobs you’ll be glad you did – sometimes you don’t realise how bad they’ve got until you renew them! This strut kit can be used to replace and refresh the 2 struts on the tailgate of the Land Rover Discovery 3 or 4. These are German made Stabilus Lift-O-Mat struts – exactly the same as supplied by Land Rover (they just don’t have the Land Rover logo printed on). These are a quality OEM (Original Equipment Manufacture) item that have 480n of lifting power each (beware of cheap aftermarket alternatives). To purchase these struts from from Land Rover would be over 30 each! This is a simple DIY project that only takes 10 minutes – we have done a video below to show you how to do it! You could also replace your bonnet struts at the same time? See item RGS106 to purchase these. These are genuine Stabilus gas struts.
