Viscous Fan Coupling Retaining Tool for Range Rover P38 V8 This tool is the tool you need to lock the viscous coupling in position when you want to remove the fan. If you want to change the radiator on your Range Rover P38 you really need to remove the fan. Note: this tool kit will only fit the V8 P38 models. It will NOT fit the P38 models with the BMW M51 engines. The V8 engine models only have 3 bolts to undo which this tool kit suits whereas the BMW M51 engines have 4 bolts to undo. We previously tried using the tools with the little “pawl” on a pin and we broke that! We also sell this tool with the 36mm spanner you need (see our other items for both tools together). This listing is just for the “clover leaf” tool as many people already have a 36mm spanner or large adjustable spanner and just need this special tool. This can be used as an alternative to Land Rover tool 303 -1143. This tool is made from 6mm thick steel with a clear rust proof coating. This tool also fits the fans on many other Land Rover vehicles and is essential for any workshop working on Land Rovers! This is not a genuine Land Rover item. Fitting Details The tool fits over the nuts on the viscous coupling to enable you to hold it still when removing the main 36mm nut from the fan. Which vehicles will this fit? This item WILL fit the viscous coupling on the Range Rover P38 V8 models. This item WILL NOT fit the viscous coupling on the Range Rover P38 BMW M51 engines.
